General settings

Located under the Admin tab, the General page offers system-wide settings that customize layouts and grant extra permissions. These settings affect all your users, so we recommend that you notify your users when you make a change that's relevant to them.

Time Zone
Select the correct time zone for where your business is based.  

Website
Include the job stage when viewing timecards, including reports.
By default, timecards across BuildKeeper only show the job and work task performed. By checking this option, the job stage is added in parentheses for your reference. This is helpful to see if you often break up your jobs into multiple stages and/or have many change orders.

Allow Managers to edit timecards while reviewing for approval.
Normally, when reviewing a pending timecard, Managers must reject it and request the employee to resubmit if errors are found. Enabling this option allows Managers to edit the timecard directly, which can make timecard approvals go faster.

Mobile App
List Managers and Field Supervisors at the top of their own Crew tab.
Normally, only employees are listed on the Crew tab for a Manager or Field Supervisor. Checking this option adds the Manager/Field Supervisor themselves to their own Crew tab. This can be useful if they want to copy their own timecard over to other crew members.

List all employees under the Crew tab and allow any Manager or Field Supervisor to view, add, or edit their time.
Normally, Managers and Field Supervisors see on their Crew tab only those employees who report to them directly. Enabling this option overrides that so all employees are listed. This can be useful if crew members often work under different job site supervisors.
