Located under the Admin tab, the Pay Periods page allows you to set up your company's pay periods. By doing so, BuildKeeper can automatically create predefined time periods for your time reports. This is useful for reporting payroll numbers quickly.
To set up a pay period:
- Click
Add Pay Frequency. - From the Pay frequency drop-down menu, select how often you run payroll:
- Weekly - once a week
- Biweekly - every other week
- Semimonthly - twice a month
- Monthly - once a month
- For Period start date, select the first day of the most recent pay period. The end date is automatically determined based on the type of period you selected.
- For Check date, select the pay date for the corresponding period.
- Click Next. A list of your next 12 pay periods will appear.
- Verify the list of pay periods is correct and click Submit. Otherwise, use the back button on your browser to correct the settings.
