Once you've completed a job or phase, you can use BuildKeeper to generate and send invoices based on the work you've done. BuildKeeper automatically pulls data from your job tracking to build out the invoice.
BuildKeeper provides a default invoice template that you can customize to reflect your company. Go to Admin > Company Settings and click Invoice Template to see and change the options:
- On Invoice: Enter the payment terms you would like printed on each invoice. The message you write here will appear beneath "Terms" in the bottom-left corner of your invoices.
- Invoice Settings: Choose to enable blank invoices, how many days until a paid invoice is archived, and whether you should be copied on all invoices sent. With blank invoices, you can add the address, line items and descriptions yourself rather than let BuildKeeper automatically fill in the information.
- Email Message: Write the email you would like BuildKeeper to send along with your invoices. You can change the subject line and body message, as well as use placeholder tags such as [first_name] to automatically customize the email for each client.
